Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is the best way to contact GForce Arms?

The fastest help comes through our email, info@gforcearms.com, or any of the contact forms in the tabs above.

Where are GForce Arms shotguns made?

Our shotguns are quality-made in Turkey. Fun fact: Turkey is one of the largest shotgun exporters in the world.

Where do I find my firearm's manual?

Every manual we currently have lives in the Resources tab on our website. If yours isn't there yet, we're in the process of redesigning some to give you better support.

Do you offer firearms for left-handed shooters?

Unfortunately, no.

How do I contact GForce Arms for support?

Dealers and customers can reach customer service through our contact form or email. For warranty support or repairs, activate your firearm's warranty in the Warranty tab and file a claim in the Service tab. FFLs and dealers should email us their firearm information and FFL with the subject line "Dealer Support."

Does GForce Arms have a physical store I can buy from?

No — GForce Arms is online only. We operate warehouses, but they aren't open to the public.

GFarmory / Ordering

What are the steps to buy directly from GForce Arms?

Reach out to your FFL and have them send us their licensing, or contact them to open a line of communication. Once we receive the facility's licensing, we ship your firearm out as fast as we're able.

Can I get a refund on an order that hasn't shipped yet?

Yes — you're fully within your right to request a refund on a product that hasn't shipped. Keep in mind that, FFL documentation or not, a firearm is usually already pulled and has to be restocked, so most pre-shipping refund requests carry a $30 restocking fee.

What if the firearm I want is illegal in my state?

We won't ship a firearm to a state with laws against its design. Our system normally blocks attempts to purchase products that are illegal at your address, and exception requests are denied.

What if the product I want is out of stock?

We often carry limited supply, sold first come, first served. If something's sold out, hit the "Notify Me" button on the product page and enter your email — we'll let you know the moment it's back.

FFL & Dealer Support

How do I become a GForce Arms dealer?

Email us with "Dealer" in the subject line and include your FFL and reseller's license (or equivalent documentation). One of our sales agents will reach out.

I'm a dealer — how do I get product support?

Whether it's an in-house repair or a firearm sent in, we're glad to work with you. Email us with "Dealer Support" in the subject line and include your FFL, the firearm's serial number, and the problem. We'll follow up with next steps.

Ammunition & Cycling

My gas-operated semi-auto shotgun has cycling issues. Why?

The most common cause of a short cycle or jam in a gas-operated semi-auto is ammunition that doesn't produce enough velocity. Your GForce Arms shotgun cycles best with ammo rated at 1,400 feet per second (FPS) or faster during the break-in period of about 100 rounds. After break-in, you can go as low as 1,350 FPS.

I switched from 2¾″ to 3″ shells and now they won't feed. Why?

If you shoot different shell lengths through the same gun, clean it before moving to a longer shell. Shorter rounds let carbon build up in the chamber area where a longer round would seat, which can cause loading or feeding problems when you switch up. If you've shot a lot of 2¾″ shells, clean the chamber before going to 3″ to minimize reliability issues. This is true of any gun that takes multiple cartridge lengths.

My new GFLVR410 has trouble cycling the next shell when I close the lever. What do I do?

New firearms can be a little stiff or tight — usually not an issue after breaking it in with a few rounds. CitizenPew did an independent YouTube review of the LVR410 that shows this exact issue, what he did, and how well it worked: youtube.com/watch?v=I8DVf2eG7FA. As always, clean your firearm before you ever head to the range.

We also have a teardown video on the GFLVR410 product page: gforcearms.com/firearms/hunting-shotguns/gflvr410

My gun is marked for 3″ — can I shoot both 2¾″ and 3″ shells?

Yes, you can shoot both 2¾″ and 3″ shells from your shotgun. We do not recommend the use of mini-shells.

Will my shotgun shoot slug shells?

We strongly recommend using an Improved Cylinder (IMP CYL) or Cylinder (CYL) choke for shooting slugs out of your GForce Arms shotgun.

Slug ammunition comes in different varieties. Most experts do not recommend shooting slugs through a MOD choke or tighter, because some slug types could "plug" the barrel and damage your firearm — or potentially harm the shooter. That's the primary reason we don't recommend slugs through models that come with a fixed MOD or fixed FULL choke-sized muzzle. Familiarize yourself with your firearm and your ammunition. Shotguns aren't like handguns or rifles — shells vary in pellet size and material, shell length, and velocity, and chokes serve an important purpose you should understand. Consult a firearms expert if you need training.

What is the difference between a heavy and light load?

There are many opinions on what a "heavy" load is. Some define it by shot size (6 and above being standard, below 6 being heavy). Others draw the line by shell length (2¾″ as standard, 3″ as heavy). Another view goes by the amount of powder charge. Follow any one of these and you're generally fine.

Chokes

What chokes come with each firearm?

Check each firearm's page on our site (gforcearms.com/firearms) for the full spec and included-equipment list.

Some firearms come with three chokes (CYL, MOD, and FULL); others come with only a MOD choke. All of our shotguns except the GF99DLX are compatible with Benelli Mobil-style chokes. 12 gauge and GFLVR410 shotguns (except the BR99DLX) use Benelli Mobil-style chokes; the 20 gauge shotguns use HUGLU-style chokes.

Which chokes are compatible with my GForce Arms shotgun?
  • With the exception of the GF991220-DLX, all semi-auto models are threaded to accept Benelli/Beretta Mobil choke tubes. The GF991220-DLX uses a thread pattern that isn't compatible with any other readily available choke tube.
  • GForce Arms pump-action shotguns are not threaded for choke tubes or muzzle devices.
  • All 12 gauge and GFLVR410 shotguns (except the BR99DLX) use Benelli Mobil-style chokes; the 20 gauge shotguns use HUGLU-style chokes.

Pump-action shotguns:

  • GF2P1220
  • GF3P1220
  • GFPG31220
  • GF3T1220
The chokes that came with my firearm aren't marked. How do I tell them apart?

Our chokes use a "notch" marking system. Look at the muzzle end of the choke and count the notches:

  • 1 notch = Full
  • 2 notches = Improved Modified
  • 3 notches = Modified
  • 4 notches = Improved Cylinder
  • 5 notches = Cylinder

Recommended for slugs:

  • 4 notches = Improved Cylinder
  • 5 notches = Cylinder

A cylinder choke is recommended for shooting rifled slugs in a smooth-bore barrel. Sabot slugs should only be shot through our fully-rifled slug barrels. It is not safe to shoot slugs through chokes tighter than those listed here.

Recommended for steel shot:

  • 3 notches = Modified
  • 4 notches = Improved Cylinder
  • 5 notches = Cylinder

Parts, Magazines & Accessories

Are your shotguns compatible with Remington 870, Mossberg, or other makes for aftermarket parts?

Unfortunately, no. We recently added an accessory that allows you to use Remington stocks on pump-action shotguns — available to buy online.

What magazine tube extension is recommended for the tube-fed shotguns?

The tube-fed GForce Arms models are not currently compatible with magazine tube extensions.

Tube-fed shotguns:

  • GF11220
  • GF11220B
  • GF2P1220
  • GF3P1220
  • GFPG31220
  • GF3T1220
What aftermarket magazines are compatible with my magazine-fed shotgun?

Our magazine-fed shotguns are MKA 1919 magazine compatible.

Magazine-fed shotguns:

  • GF991220
  • GF991220-DLX
  • GF12AR
  • GFY11220
  • GF001220
  • GF00S1220
Can I mount accessories on my GForce Arms shotgun?

Yes! All of our pump-action shotguns come with a 3/8″ dovetail rail system on top for mounting optics. "Dovetail-to-Picatinny" adaptors are available aftermarket to convert the dovetail rail to a Picatinny rail for Picatinny optic mounts — just search "dovetail to picatinny rail adaptor."

Can my 5-round magazine attach to my Picatinny rail?

Yes. All models except the GF/BR991220 come with a polymer grip and Picatinny rail mount on the bottom, so you can mount the magazine to the Picatinny rail under the handguard. The magazines are made so the polymer cover on the side faces outward toward the muzzle end, and the magazine attaches by sliding it from the rear of the rail forward. Sliding from the front toward the back may not work — they're built to go on in one direction.

Care & Operation

My Filthy Pheasant break-action lever doesn't return all the way to center. Is that OK?

Over/under shotguns have a locking-block mechanism machined to extremely tight tolerances. On most new over/unders of various brands, the lever may not go completely back to center — it'll likely sit slightly to the right of center. As the gun gets "broken in," the action and receiver loosen up.

You can also put a single dab of gun oil just below the firing pins, then open and close the action a few times. The locking block slides back and forth to hold the barrel assembly in place, and the oil helps it move more smoothly and makes the action open and close easier. As long as the lever is centered or slightly right of center, and the action is fully closed, the gun is safe to shoot. A lever that comes to rest to the left of center is a sign of locking-block wear and should be inspected by a certified gunsmith.

What cleaning solution do you recommend?

There are many quality firearm cleaning and lubricating solutions. We use CLP Break-Free gun cleaner and lubricant after each day at the range.

Warranty

Does my GForce Arms firearm have a warranty?

Yes — we offer a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner of the firearm. See the Warranty Registration page for details. If you haven't registered, do it — registration makes covered service much easier. Without it, you may have to supply a copy of your purchase receipt to get warranty service.

What do I do if I have a problem with my gun?

We recommend registering your warranty — even after you spot a manufacturing defect or covered damage. Once it's registered, head to our Service page and file a claim so our claims department is notified.

Where do I register my warranty?

Register on our warranty page: gforcearms.com/warranty

Where do I file a warranty claim?

File a claim in the Service tab: gforcearms.com/service

Do I qualify for a warranty?

Our warranty covers manufacturer defects, not user error. Every claim needs a valid serial number and proof of purchase showing that serial number.

Repairs & Service

What are the proper steps to send my gun in for warranty repair?

The best way to start warranty service is the Service tab at gforcearms.com/service. Complete and submit the form, and you'll immediately receive an email confirming your service request was received. Customer service will then follow up by email or phone to discuss the issue and get your shotgun back into peak operating condition.

How long do warranty repairs take?

Firearms sent in for warranty repair typically take 8 to 12 weeks.

What happens if my firearm is ruled a replacement?

We'll provide an exact replacement. If one isn't available, we'll update you with the wait time or offer alternatives.

Can I send in my firearm for user error or because it's dirty?

Right now our gunsmithing services are warranty-only. If damage is traced to user error — like not cleaning after use — we may contact you, and you could be responsible for shipping charges and more.

I bought my GForce Arms firearm secondhand — can I still get service?

We can only work on firearms covered by an active warranty, and we may refuse firearms with previously claimed or voided warranties.
