When looking at the GF1, it checks all the boxes that you would ask out of a defense shotgun. Semi automatic, reliable tube fed magazine, lightweight, and familiar classic ergonomics. We decided to enhance this fan favorite platform with some attachments we offer on the GF Armory.
Starting at the top of the gun, we equipped a Nightstick
TWM-854 XL. This compact form factor light fit the bill for what we would need for a weapon mounted light. Does not take up too much real estate, and with 850 lumens this light is strong enough to punch through the night but not strong enough to temporarily impair the vision of the user in close quarters. This light comes stock with a pressure pad switch which is perfect for the GF1 forend grip. We used 3M double sided adhesive tape to mount the pressure pad which will hold up in almost all situations. Just behind the light we mounted our sling using the Picatinny QD Mount. Both this and the light are mounted using our GForce barrel clamps.
Moving on, the next area we wanted to address was optics and sight alignment. The red dot on the GF1 is manufactured by Crimson Trace, we had it laying around the warehouse and is a good budget option. We do recommend these as well as Sig Sauer Romeo 5 and Vortex Sparc 2 for budget friendly red dots. The red dot we wanted to have placed low, using the factory low profile pic mount and our standard dovetail to picatinny rail this optic has great sight height for our aftermarket stock. We also added our oversized charging handle for easy bolt manipulation.
Lastly, we installed our GForce 5 point folding stock. This is one of the first changes we make on almost all of our defense shotguns for a couple of reasons. First, having 5 points of adjustability allows the user to tailor their length of pull that is right for their body. Second, having the folding capability allows easy and compact storage, tight weapon manipulation when a full stock could be cumbersome, and lets be real, it’s cool. The pistol grip gives a familiar grip angle comparable to an AR15 which allows for easy safety control and a flatter angle for trigger pull.

Tried the oversized charging handle. It was oversized all right. Out of spec. To large. Could not install. Tossed in a drawer. Put the original back on.
